2017 American Gold Eagle (1 oz) $50 - BUAmerican Eagle Gold Bullion Coins
American Eagle Gold Bullion Coins unlike their proof counterparts, are not sold directly to the general public, but to a series of authorized buyers. These buyers obtain the uncirculated bullion coins from the Mint based on the current spot price of the metal plus a small premium. American Eagle Gold Bullion Coins are made in four denominations that contain one ounce, half-ounce, quarter-ounce and tenth-ounce of gold.
Coin Design
Obverse: A version of Augustus Saint-Gaudens' full-length figure of Liberty with flowing hair, holding a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left.
Reverse: Male eagle carrying an olive branch flying above a nest containing a female eagle and eaglets.

Real Coin but you do pay more.

A great coin. Purchased from Liberty Coin. Had it checked out and it is legit. Yes you pay more on Amazon but if you are not near a store it may be worth it to have it delivered to your front door.

Great external packaging, internal packing could use some improvement.By Amazon Customer
The exterior packaging was very awesome, the tape was strong and there was no way to tell the value of the package from the outside. I purchased two coins and the packaging for the interior (where the coins are), wasn't all that amazing. The coins come in this simple cardboard box that has a type of foam padding and the coins are within this box.
The coins themselves were inserted into a small/flexible plastic "case" that has no button to close itself so when I opened the internal cardboard box, one of the coins slid out of this plastic cover and was free to move around within the box. This isn't that big of a deal but, with the value of the items at hand, one might expect some better handling/packing materials. Maybe even a piece of scotch tape to keep the plastic cover closed.
Hopefully I will remember to upload pictures soon because the coins themselves are not at my disposal at the time of typing.

Product Description
President Theodore Roosevelt felt that the coinage of the United States was inferior when compared to the best designs of many foreign nations. He believed that a nation as great as the United States should have a currency reflecting that greatness and to rectify the situation, he arranged for Augustus Saint-Gaudens - considered one of the greatest sculptors of the time - to redesign America's coinage. This was one of only two coin designs Saint-Gaudens completed before his death. Two varieties exist, the No Motto of 1907-1908 and the Motto (In God We Trust) variety of 1908-1933. Coins were produced at the Philadelphia, San Francisco and Denver mints.
